The Last Summer Rolling and Skills Session Thursday of 2025. We’ve thrown in a Cookout/Potluck for good measure. Questions? Email HLoller@BluegrassWildwater.org
(NOTE: Indoor winter rolling sessions will start up in a couple of months… stay tuned.)
For the last session of summer 2025 we’re going to do a cookout/potluck at West 6th Farm after the session. So, come on out and get your first roll ever or your last one for the summer. We’ll be at the end of Strohmeier Bypass Road, Frankfort (just north of West 6th Farm on 127) The road is on the right and ends at a small turn about above the creek. NOTE: Google mislabels Strohmeier as Owenton Rd, but the pin in this map is dead on it.

We’ll be there with volunteer instructors and loaner boats. It's a nice big pool of water on the Elkhorn that holds a good depth even when gauge is low. Come learn to roll, practice your roll, try your offside, or work on basics like ferries, peel outs and eddy turns in the feature at the top of the pool.
This is a Free event. We are using a public access point of the Elkhorn Creek.
6:00pm till 8:00-ish...or 'til it gets dark or everybody's done. Last call at West 6th Farm immediately after where Stephanie will have the grill going with burgers and brats. Bring a dish to share or just bring yourself. Bring a plate and fork to help keep garbage low.
Cost: Free!!!
