Tuesday Paddling 1/17

Any free and up for paddling the Elkhorn on Tuesday? It is at 2300 and dropping at 5:00 pm today. Should be a pretty good surf level tomorrow. Only change would be if we got a big rain event tonight so eyes would be looking at Muddy, Tates, Calloway, Marble, etc. I am flexible with time.

Storzee and I are also talking about an afternoon run. We're meeting at the put in at 315, set shuttle, and expect our last confirmed paddler to show 330-345 and put on immediately at that point.

As of 5am I have 3/4 inch of rain since last night. Anybody not working today and have visuals? Glenn's, Maybe. Muddy: possible. Tates: doubt that but what a fantasy it would be. Calloway: afraid the drainage area is too small, be gone by daylight.

Anyway: Elkhorn is the default if nothing else jumps up. Time: 1230

Glenn's is definitely running at a great level. I drive by it on my way to work. I didn't stop to check my usual reference points this morning, but I wish I was paddling on it right now.

If I can get away from the office around 15:00, I will try to make the Elkhorn run.

I may be up for something after it quits raining, preferably Muddy.

Glenns creek ran a solid medium today and it was awesome! Only thing missing was Jeff K but he would hog the waves anyway. smoking smiley

Sounds fun Joe. You are getting the water and the Smokies are not. Lou and I have been getting a bunch of 8 a.m. Pigeon releases but nothing around here naturally. I am headed up there this weekend. If the Elkhorn is running on Saturday, I will probably be out there. May show up for the roll sessions and beer afterwards too.

Brent's going to show for a rolling session? I'll have to put my surgery on hold.

Actually it's minor enough that I may be there, but I won't be in the water. We'll see.

Brent,
Rain forecast for Thursday night might put Callaway in play for Friday morning.

Joe,
I love Calloway Creek. What a great local gem. Looks like I am now staying in the Smokies however. Rain is coming. You should come down, play some music and go boating with me soon.
