Michael Downs will be teaching a basic CPR and first aid class on Monday, February 11th. KYMBA is sponsoring this class and Crankworks bicycle shop is providing the space for teaching. Cost is $55, but I plan to propose at the steering committee meeting on Tuesday that the BWA subsidize members who want to take this class at the rate of $25 per member, reducing cost to a measly $30.

I'm already signed up and there are 5 slots available. Contact me if you want to register or send an email to Michael Downs cmdowns@gmail.com

Of all the lifesaving training you can take for the river environment, CPR (specifically traditional "breaths and compressions" CPR) is probably the one most likely to actually save someone's life. I highly recommend getting certified or re-certified.
