8am sharp on the bridge on HWY 715. Anyone with more knowledge about this location want to chime in on this?

Down the hill from Sky Bridge, just after you cross "Concrete Bridge." There is a rest area. Try to tandem park with someone else in the party.

Brandon is currently on the road to Utah so I think you'll have to rule him out. And hand him a demerit. I'll give myself one too.
You all have a great cleanup!!!!

I would guess we're meeting up around the Copperas Creek Canoe Launch at 8? Any confirmation on this would be greatly appreciated.
My plan is to pick up the trailer Thursday night and leave from my house at 6:10 Friday morning. If you're looking for a ride in the van, we live at 2861 Runnymede in Lex. Please be there before 6. I'm going to hop onto New Circle, to New Town Pike, to 64, to Mountain Parkway, hopefully arriving at the bridge a scosh before 8. I'd be happy to pick up anyone that needs a ride somewhere along that route, just let me know before Saturday morning.
Right now I believe we have seven passengers, and it will seat 12. If I can convince Tubbo to come, maybe Mary, we'll still have room for 3. If Tubbo and Mary come, $h1t will get real. Just putting it out there. Please let me know how I can help. FYI, text is the easiest for me 859-983-4475.

Sam,
You are 100% correct on the location. This will be the takeout. Someone, either Russ Miller or I will meet you at the bridge at 8AM. I assume you meant to say you would leave at 6:10 Saturday morning. Folks will load their boats on the trailer and try to cram everyone into a couple of vehicles and go up to the put-in at Russ's place. It is a 40 minute drive up to Russ's place and then we still have a lot of work to do before we get on the water, so being there early or on time is extremely important. Someone will shuttle your van back down to the takeout.

Wolfe County had some pretty severe weather last night and school was closed today due to road closures and, I think, electrical issues. I will coordinate with Russ and Megan to determine if the water levels will permit the cleanup to move forward. High water makes boating fun, trash pickup and duckie wrangling not so much.

It is looking like the stars will align for me to make it to the clean up this year this being a non-mothers day weekend. I have a small tandem / large solo canoe I plan to solo in for this trip.

However, do you think the water level is to high? It is peaked out at 4000 cfs currently. It should drop out today but there is more rain coming. What is cut off for the level being to high to do the clean up?

Typically the cutoff is about 150 cfs. I will be monitoring the water levels and passing that information on to Russ and Megan. The unknown here is if the Campton area receives rain. All I can advise is to hang tight and monitor the forum. This one may be a late Friday decision. If there is no more rain, the water level will probably be okay....a little muddy but okay.

Dave,
They use the Hazel Green gauge, which peaked around 1200, but has dropped fast overnight.

Update:
The forecast is calling for 0.5-0.75" of rain in Campton this evening between 7-11 pm. Looks like a final decision on the cleanup will have to be made on Friday. Stay tuned.

The cleanup is canceled, due to high water. Thank you to everyone who volunteered,
